Whoops! almost a week slipped by without a post. This morning I made sure I got up early so I could fit everything in and I'm so glad I did because I saw this beautiful sight.

 It's rather windy here today so my 1st photo for August Break looks a little out of focus, but still very summery and I only had to step 2 minutes from my house to find this beautiful tree. I'm so grateful to live in such a beautiful place.

An Oasis

I rested in this little oasis at market yesterday. It's hot here at the moment. We are in the middle of what's known as a 'calima' . The air is full of dust blown over from the Sahara and it increases the temperature. Not particularly pleasant for the lungs either but it will blow over in a day or so. I think I'll stay shuttered up in my little house 'til then.
